Runnebohm has provided Design/Build services to Toray Resin Co. on multiple projects at their U.S. Headquarters and Plant in Shelbyville.
The Technical & Research Center Addition project expanded the facility by 12,800-sf and served as a main focal point when approaching the facility. Insulated metal panels and a continuous horizontal window system with dark-tinted glazing are used to give the plant a modern aesthetic.
Recently, the 52,500-sf South Warehouse was added on to give Toray more capacity for storage. A 22-ft wide connector straddles the railroad spur coming onto the property and allows access to the South Warehouse from the existing portion. Included in this project are five new docks along the west façade.
