PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Job Summary:

As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be a trusted member of our team as we continue to expand our business. Responsibility and accountability for your projects will be essential to your success. Ability to estimate and manage multiple negotiated design/build and plan/specification projects is required. We self perform concrete/Pre-Engineered Metal Building work and other trades, so quantity take-off is very important. This position is ideal for a professional who has a passion for construction and enjoys the everyday challenges of their job.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional quantity take-off skills.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Capable of reading and comprehending complex and detailed plans.
  • Able to prepare estimates, including plan distribution, project analysis and proposals.
  • Excellent conceptual abilities.
  • Ability to work against hard deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic.
  • Ability to work with customers and analyze their needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hard bid, negotiated, design/build projects, and conceptual estimates.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial or commercial construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology or Engineering preferred.
  • Prior field construction trade or supervisory experience a plus.
  • 3 + years of project management/estimating experience on projects up to $5 Million.
  • Solid verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience with Blue Beam & Microsoft project a plus.
  • Stable employment background.

Semi-Skilled Craftsman

Semi-skilled craftsmen perform a variety of construction tasks with growing proficiency, including equipment operation, basic layout, and installation work. They support skilled tradesmen while continuing to develop their technical abilities, with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

Skilled Craftsman

Skilled craftsmen are experienced professionals responsible for executing complex construction tasks with precision and minimal supervision. They demonstrate advanced knowledge of tools, equipment, and trade-specific techniques, while leading by example in safety, quality workmanship and jobsite productivity.

Foreman

Foremen assist the Supervisor in leading field operations, coordinating daily work activities to ensure tasks are completed safely, on time, and to specification. They provide hands-on guidance to crews, enforce safety standards, manage materials and equipment, and help communicate expectations between the workforce and leadership.

Supervisor

Supervisors are responsible for the overall success of assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met. They lead and support foremen and crews, oversee daily operations on the jobsite, manage staffing and performance, and maintain clear communication with company leadership and clients.

Project Manager / Estimator

Project Managers/Estimators are responsible for planning, estimating, and overseeing projects from pre-construction through completion, including design/build work and pre-engineered metal building systems. They prepare accurate bids, identify risks and cost drivers, and develop project schedules and budgets. During execution, they coordinate with supervisors and field teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within scope, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
