EDINBURGH, INDIANA
Runnebohm served as General Contractor for the Phase II manufacturing and warehouse addition to the Georg Utz Inc. Edinburgh facility. The 85,000-sf addition more than doubled the existing facility size. With an eave height of 43’-6”, provisions were made for two future 32-ton cranes within the new manufacturing portion of the building. Each of them designed for a span of 82-ft and a length of over 200-ft.
The production area, due to specialized need, was built with a 12-in thick steel fiber reinforced concrete slab. It was important that construction for this project not interfere with the existing facility. Therefore, Phase II was built without any interruptions in operation.
