Putting "Safety First" Wins Zero Injury
Award
Runnebohm Construction Company recently received the Zero Injury Award for
2004 at the Annual Safety Achievements Award reception by the Metro Indianapolis
Coalition for Contractor Safety (MICCS). This marks the second consecutive year
that Runnebohm Construction has received this award.
The MICCS is a
coalition of construction industry leaders devoted to worker and construction
site safety. Its mission is to obtain zero injuries on central Indiana
construction sites. Members in this organization include construction
companies, users of construction services, design professionals and
construction-affiliated organizations and companies.
Nick Runnebohm,
President of Runnebohm Construction Company, said "The safety and health of
Runnebohm Construction employees plus all other individuals on or near our
projects has always been a prime concern of this company. We have strived to
maintain a good safety record over the years and have progressively worked to
reduce on the job accidents and injuries."
Runnebohm has developed
a proven safety control program accompanied by a written Safety & Health
Policy Manual, which includes guidelines set forth by OSHA's Safety and Health
Standards.
Nick also said, "Safety at Runnebohm Construction is
more than policies and procedures - it is an attitude. Company wide commitment,
from senior management through to the individual worker, is what keeps our
safety program moving forward and developing to meet new challenges".
Accidents
cost time and money, but most of all, accidents can cause needless suffering and
can even cost lives. Runnebohm Construction firmly believes that safety is not
just a requirement, but a part of our organizational culture, and we are driven
to ensure that safety is a priority in the company. |
